Terms of Service
Last updated: 28 July 2026
These are the terms between you and Aaditya Sadangi, the individual developer who builds and operates Overt. By creating an account you accept them.
What Overt does
Overt helps App Store developers improve their listings: it analyses public App Store metadata, tracks keyword rankings, monitors competitors, and generates suggested titles, subtitles and keyword fields.
Your account
- Give accurate information and keep your login secure.
- You are responsible for activity under your account.
- One account per person or organisation, unless we agree otherwise in writing.
- You must be old enough to enter a contract where you live, and at least 16.
Plans, limits and payment
Overt has a free tier and paid plans. Each plan includes a stated number of tracked apps, keywords, competitors and AI generations per month. These limits are enforced, and requests beyond them are refused rather than billed as overage — you cannot run up a bill by accident.
Paid plans bill monthly in advance through Paddle, who act as the merchant of record. Prices may change with 30 days’ notice; a change never applies to a period you have already paid for. See the refund policy.
AI-generated suggestions
This section matters more than the rest, so it is stated plainly.
- Generated listings are suggestions, not instructions. You decide what to submit to Apple, and you do so under your own developer account.
- You are responsible for accuracy.Apple rejects app metadata that misrepresents what an app does. Overt constrains generation to features evidenced by your app’s own listing and checks Apple’s character limits, but it cannot know your product as well as you do. Review every suggestion before using it.
- We do not guarantee any ranking outcome.App Store ranking depends on Apple’s algorithms, your competitors, and factors nobody outside Apple can see. Anyone guaranteeing App Store rankings is not being straight with you.
- Suggestions come from a third-party AI model and may be wrong, generic or unsuitable. Treat them as a starting point.
Rank and competitor data
Rank positions and competitor metadata come from Apple’s public endpoints. Apple does not guarantee those endpoints, document them, or promise they will keep working. Accordingly:
- Data may be delayed, incomplete or unavailable.
- A rank shown as “not ranking” means we checked and did not find your app within the results we retrieve — a real result, not an error.
- We check daily. We do not promise a specific time of day, and a check may be skipped if Apple is unavailable.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Resell, redistribute or republish data obtained through Overt as your own dataset.
- Circumvent plan limits, rate limits, or the separation between customer accounts.
- Use automated means to extract data beyond normal use of the interface.
- Use Overt to generate misleading metadata, or to impersonate another app or developer.
- Interfere with the service or try to access accounts that are not yours.
We may suspend accounts that do these things, with notice where practical.
Availability
We aim to keep Overt available but do not offer a service level agreement, particularly on the free tier. Overt is early software run by one person: expect occasional downtime, and expect features to change. We will give reasonable notice before removing something you rely on.
Your content
You keep ownership of everything you put into Overt. You grant only the licence needed to operate the service for you. Generated suggestions are yours to use as you see fit.
Cancellation
Cancel at any time; your plan continues to the end of the paid period. Delete your account at any time, which removes your tracking choices as described in the privacy policy.
We may end an account for breach of these terms, for non-payment, or if Overt stops operating — in that last case with reasonable notice and a pro-rata refund.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, Overt is provided “as is”. We are not liable for lost revenue, lost rankings, App Store rejections, or indirect losses. Total liability in any twelve-month period is limited to what you paid in that period — which, on the free tier, is nothing.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and disputes will be handled by the courts of India.
Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be emailed to account holders before taking effect. Continuing to use Overt after that means you accept the update.
